I didn't wake up until almost 8:00 AM on Saturday. I watched the Today show until 9:00 and then posted the Blog. It was raining, then.
My back hurt like a son-of-a-b*tch, so I took the day off. I ate a half of a grapefruit around noon and some hardboiled eggs with horseradish in the evening. I mostly watched taped cooking shows and old movies, lying in bed with the heating pad. I also took a couple of interesting phone calls.
I did take a nap in the afternoon, which allowed me to stay up rather late at night. But I finally gave it up and went to sleep for real. It was raining pretty hard, then, so hopefully all my lawn and vegetable and flower seeds were getting watered.
I wish we had your growing season here. We don't even think about planting our vegetable seeds until at least the May long weekend! By then the ice from our igloos melts enough so that the gardens are self watering... :)
ReplyDelete@ CC - re: the growing season here. You can plant the early, hearty stuff seeds here now (maybe even a couple of weeks earlier, but I wasn't ready) but you don't dare plant plants like tomatoes or annual flowers until at least May 15th. We can still get frosts until then.
ReplyDeleteI remember one year on Palms Road where I had to replant three times do to frost!
