The Long and Winding Road...

I woke up after 8:00 AM on Saturday. Caley immediately jumped off the bed when I rose, but Scruffy didn't. So, I slathered him with cat shampoo soap again. He didn't like it and looks stupid but I thought it was less stressful that sticking him in the shower.

I stripped the bed and put in the first of two loads in the washer. I was still tired, so I laid down back on the bed and started watching some cooking shows. I fell asleep and was woken up by Jake and Carla yelling at me (they're still afraid I will shoot them). And, God knows, I might...

According to them, they pushed the door bell, but it didn't work. So, I tried it and damn if it didn't work. Jake says there is a battery in it and it must be dead.

Anyway, they brought me an Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich and some curly fries, They ate their chicken tenders and fries, while I spread the horsey sauce on the roast beef sandwich. I woofed it down and ate most of the curly fries.

I was embarrassed, being in my bathrobe and the house being a wreck (but they seemed okay with that). They walked out back to check out the new trellis. Jake commented that the metal work didn't show through on my photos (hey, I tried).

When they left, I started to clean up the house (mostly because of embarrassment - I really wanted to be outside!)

Around 5:00 PM I took a nap. I got up with the phone ringing. It was my friend B___, who called to tell me that the Blue Dahlia (Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake, 1946 movie) was coming on at 8:00 PM.

So, I watched that and then went to bed.

  2. Right above the cedar sides. They look like branches. First photo shows them the best.
