I woke up on Saturday just after 7:30 AM. After making coffee, I spent some time hooking my monitor and CPU back up and then checked out the emails I had missed. Then I wrote the Blog entry and posted it. A shave and a shower came next.
I made a big breakfast for a change. I'd thawed out some ham slices, so I fried two of them up, while warming up some of the leftover grits. When everything was warm, I made two over easy eggs. The only thing I couldn't make was toast (I'm out of bread).
It was a weird day, weather-wise. It was either sunny one minute or then raining the next. I did go out on the patio (during a sunny phase) and checked the rain gauge. Between Friday and today I got just over one inch of rain.
I bit the bullet and put together the top of the trellis. But, it was raining once again when I finished, so I decided to assemble and install it tomorrow.
I watched "Pulp Fiction" again in the afternoon. I had a friend recently tell me they started to watch it, but it was too violent and made no sense. I explained that, while they are violent, Quentin Taratino films have to be watched from beginning to end to make sense.
I talked to my friend B__ and he gave me a GREAT idea. I was lamenting that this was the first time in 61+ years (I realize it would be longer for my older brothers) that I wasn't buying a card, ordering flowers, buying a gift or making a gift for my Mom. It's really bumming me out. But, like I said, he gave me an idea. We'll see if I act upon it.
For supper, I baked some of the Ore-Ida crinkle-cut French fries in the toaster oven and warmed up some of the Manwich. It wasn't that original, but it tasted good.
I watched some taped cooking shows until the Red Wings game came on. I watched that until it ended (we lost and are out of the playoffs) and then, disgusted, went to bed.
