At lunchtime, I went to the bank and got out the money for the bike.
Back home after work, I didn't change clothes, just got out the push mower and cut the front lawn. Then I went out back and weed-whacked the two patios. I put the line trimmer away and grabbed the blower and cleaned them up.
Tammy, my neighbor, came up to the fence and gave me a butternut squash and five skinny (I think they are the Japanese variety) eggplant.
Back inside, I started cleaning the house. I will have visitors tomorrow and it was a little too hairy for that!
I had had a large lunch, so I skipped supper.
I was reading a new magazine on the couch when I fell asleep. I woke up at 3:00 AM, found my glasses, went into the bedroom and went to bed.

ReplyDeleteSuccess! Where were they?
Ah, no, not those glasses. I found the old ones I was wearing when I fell asleep.

ReplyDeleteHappy Grandparent's Day!!!! I remember when we lived on Harelson and I went to Atwood Elementary and congress made it an offical holiday "Grandparent's Day" Grandma Goerlich came to school with me and got a corsage and had a great time. Even years later she would always say I remember you were the first grandchild to ever invite me to school for Grandparents day. I hope you have a great grandparents day. I've really been thinking about grandma alot probably because her birthday is coming up I sure miss her. Hope all is well with you and yours.
I am sure Grandma is still proud of being there with you. She never compared the days, she only celebrated them. Trust me, she loved all 32 of you!
ReplyDeleteEven brother Michael?
ReplyDeleteWell, he died in an ugly accident, We don't like to like to talk about it and even now its a pitiful subject. Please don't bring up my brother Micheal again, okay?
ReplyDeleteDid any of Michael's kids make it? That was a long time ago!!
