Labor Day Weekend - Day Three

Today I am cleaning the house. The cat hair has been driving me crazy and it was too cool outside to really do anything. I finished off the rest of the coffee. The house was warm, BTW. I forgot to turn the furnace off...

I did hook up the trickle charger to the tractor in case the weather improves enough to cut the back lawn.

I took out a frozen turkey breast, a pork loin and a package of thin-cut bacon to thaw. I have a plan for Labor Day!

I took a long, nice walk outside in my yard. Unfortunately, I was planning all the things I had to do before winter sets in.

Back inside, I took another nap (go figure). I really don't understand why some people have such a hard time adjusting to retirement. I plan on sleeping a lot...

Then, it was time for dinner. I made my Mom's tuna and peas and served it on toasted sourdough bread (according to my brother Carl, that was my Mom's recipe - personally, I prefer wide egg noodles).

I cleaned up the mess and then went in to finish reading my book on the couch. It was Anthony Bourdain's newest book, called "Medium Raw." I'll lend it to Jake the next time I see him. I especially liked chapter 13 - Heroes and Villains.

I went in to see what tonight's movies might be but didn't find anything that interesting. So, I shut everything off and went to bed.
