Wet (for a while) Wednesday

It was raining when I went to work. As I said, its "supposed" to rain for the next several days, which is why I reseeded the front lawn. There were all kinds of photos on the news of storm damaged areas in Michigan, but I think the storms either went north or south of here. When I checked the rain gauge at noon, (it had quit raining by then) I had less than 1/4 of an inch. So much for soaking my area!

I had to go to a meeting in the building where Jake resides, so he brought me in some leftovers from their Sunday dinner. Thanks!

After work, I changed clothes and vacuumed the whole house (it was getting hairy again). I tried calling my brother Carl (no answer, so I left a message).

Then I warmed up the leftovers (braised beef short ribs) while I made some rice (Jake's suggestion) to serve it on. I plated it and ate probably the best dinner I've had in a long, long time. It was excellent!

Carl called me back and we talked for a while. His main reason for wanting to talk to me was a diabetes study he thought I would be interested in. He's going to send me the information.

I watched an old movie ("Magombo" with Clark Gable) and went to bed about 11:00 PM.
