I was feeling better Wednesday, so I went to work (for a change!)
Lunchtime, I drove up to Westborn and picked up my contribution to the Thanksgiving meal tomorrow at Jake and Carla’s: a baguette, a jar of Kalamata pitted olives, some Brie and some Marques de Caceres Crianza wine. I’m not sure what kind of appetizer this will make, but I just do what I’m asked...
I had also planned on doing some outdoor work at lunch, but it was only in the 30’s with a brisk wind, so I passed.
It was still cold (well, not as cold as Alberta, Canada, obviously – but cold to me) and now dark when I arrived home. So, I watched the nightly news and then around 7:00 PM, I made some dinner. I made a roast beef sandwich on sourdough bread with some “horse sauce” (Mayo and horseradish). I added some olives to the plate and sat on the couch, eating a delectable repast.
I fired up both the washing machine and the dishwasher. Then I watched TV until bedtime.
