Well, it did snow overnight, but nowhere near the projected 1-3 inches. I would be surprised to learn we got more than 1/2 inch here in Redford. However, people at work who live north of 8 Mile said they got a lot of snow.
It was slippery driving into work, though. But the temps had risen to 38 degrees F. by the time work was over, so it was more slushy than slippery going home.
Since it was above freezing, I made two trips into the attic for Christmas decorations. I’ll put them up over the weekend.
I watched the news and then two taped episodes of “Bitchin’ Kitchen.” I made dinner (toasted cheese sandwich and tomato soup in a mug) and ate it watching “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” I went to bed at 10:00 PM.
But, I woke up, wide awake, at 1:00 AM. Since I don’t have work tomorrow, I watched Jimmy Fallon (my favorite late-night show) and then went back to bed.
well, I am north of 8 mile, and probably got about 5/8 inches of show...so if that's a "lot of snow" I like it!
ReplyDeletehappy decoration putting up!
Would you believe that 5/8 inches of snow added an hour to my morning commute? Nothing like the first storm to shake some fear into morning drives.
ReplyDeleteSo much snow they closed parts of 94 and postponed Vikings game at the dome. 17" so far and more to follow!!! I admit being snowed in is fun but it's only the 2nd day ask me again in February!!!! Hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteGeez, Amy! I don't think I could handle that much snow. My car's only 15" tall.
ReplyDeleteSafe driving tomorrow, everyone.
