(And I mean that - it's been a tough week, work-wise with my projects)
I made a can of Campbell's split pea with ham soup for lunch. I was little tired of pizza and the pizza farts were becoming increasingly embarrassing. I was now out of all my go-to soups (except for tomato) such as chicken noodle, bean with bacon and split pea with ham and there's no Hormell chili in the house either. I have GOT to go shopping!
After work, I started the weekend wash and then did some stuff on the computer (my grocery list and the ToDo list).
I called my friend B___ to see how he was doing and mentioned my plan to go grocery shopping this weekend. He cautioned me that, due to last weekend's storm, nobody was able to buy Christmas dinner or pick up last-minute presents. So, stores this weekend would be mobbed. Good point! I hadn't thought of that!
I guess I'll get by with my pantry items and my freezer until Monday or Tuesday.
I warmed up the last two slices of pizza supreme for dinner. Then I went in to watch a movie (Tears of the Sun) on DVD. It took about twice as long to finish as, about half way through, the damn thing started either stuttering or stopping altogether. I kept pushing "Play" and it would start back up. I dunno...
I don't have much experience with DVDs. I only own about 20 of them and never rent them or get them on Netflix. Can they get dirty? How do you clean them? I dunno...
So, I went to bed late.
"...stores this weekend would be mobbed."
ReplyDeleteI was at Kroger around 1:00 PM and it wasn't too terrible. Aisles were crowded but I got through the checkout fairly quick. (Except for some damn screaming baby. Argh.) Sunday morning would probably be quiet.
"How do you clean them [DVDs]?"
Rubbing alcohol and cotton. Make sure it's fully dry before inserting. (There's a bad joke there somewhere.)
Thanks for the info! How does a DVD get dirty? Did I touch it inappropriately? (There's a bad joke in there, too!)
ReplyDeleteLike Father, like son....there's a dirty joke there too!
