Last Day of Work in 2010

I must admit, I didn’t think I’d still have a job by now. But I do have my part-time one. So life isn’t horrible, just uncomfortable.

It was freezing rain when I woke up Thursday morning. So, it was a bit tricky getting up the incline and out of my driveway. And, San Jose was pure ice. But they must have salted Plymouth Road as the remainder of the trip was okay.

Work was work. I did make three trips to the front of the building to check on my guys. They did good and all of the critical wiring was in (whew!) They’ll be back on Monday to install the jacks and power them up.

It was over 40 degrees F. by lunchtime, so the ice had all melted and the snow on my roof was dripping. I guess our celebrated “January Thaw” came early this year. I ate the last of the beef vegetable soup (that I didn’t freeze) for lunch.

Since there wasn’t much going on (in fact nothing), the IT director let everybody (except probably Jake) leave at 4:00 PM.

I talked to B___ for a while, and then I warmed up some of the eggplant for dinner.

I fell asleep early, but didn’t get much rest. I had bad dreams and insomnia all night.
