Sunday Feasting

I woke up late on Sunday. It felt good to sleep in for a change. I stripped the bedding and started the weekend wash.

I decided today was going to be a blend of relaxing and feasting. So, I baked some Pillsbury cinnamon buns, frosted them and ate two to start, with a fresh pot of coffee.

I called B___, but he was in the middle of cooking something and said he’d call me later. I got another cup of coffee and my book, sat on the couch and read for a while.

I remade the bed when the bedding was dry and moved my shirts and pants from the washer to the dryer. I set the stove timer so I wouldn’t forget them.

After I hung up and put away the second load, I lay down on my fresh-smelling bed and started watching taped cooking shows. I took a nap in the late afternoon.

Then I made dinner. I made some wild rice and boiled the two lobster tails. I melted a stick of butter and really did feast!

My usual Sunday night shows were affected by the Oscars (which I didn’t care about) so I read until Iron Chef America came on. I watched it and went to bed at 11:00 PM.

  2. Thanks! But now I got to go back to "frugal" until my reserves are built back up.
