I have written and rewritten this post a hundred times. Sometimes with WAY too much information, sometimes with way too little. So, I will just try and say it.
As you may know, I have been on part-time since October 12, 2009. I had a meeting on Tuesday at 3:00 PM with my boss and our Director, and they asked me if I would “consider” coming back to full time! The Director made sure I understood that they couldn’t guarantee it would stay that way, based on work load (always a good way to inspire an employee) but for now they need my help.
Ummm, let me think: paid health care, vacation, contributing to my depleted 401k? Duh, yeah! So as of next Monday, I am working full time again,
I think when I get my first full paycheck, I’ll buy a bathrobe!

ReplyDeleteThank you all! You have no idea how close to disaster I was. One month until my Cobra ran out, my savings account down from thousands to mere hundreds and buying health care (crappy health care at that) would have sunk me.
