Monday

When I woke up early Monday morning for a bathroom break, it was raining and thundering! Thankfully, the rain had more or less stopped by the time I left for work.

The temperature did get up to 36 degrees early on (which is why it was rain, not snow) but slowly fell throughout the day. And, while I like the melting snow, it will become a problem as the low tonight will be only 10 degrees F. Which means all the standing water will become ice. Spring, wherefore art thou?

I was able to eat lunch at home as I now am located in two buildings: one in Farmington Hills (where all my stuff is) and one in Livonia, where I am working on a massive software audit (and why I think they brought me back full-time – they need somebody to throw under the bus).

After work, I cleaned up the kitchen, washed the griddle pan and the pots and ran the dishwasher. I watched the evening news. At 7:00 I heated up two hot dogs and warmed up the no-bean chili (Carla had called and let me know she put it downstairs on my pantry shelves – the one place I didn’t look!)

The chili dogs tasted great, but I spent the rest of the evening burping and wondering why in the hell I thought chili dogs would be a good idea...
