It was raining when I woke up on Wednesday (the temperature was above freezing). Not a heavy downpour or thunderstorm kinda rain, just a steady, annoying rain. I know because I had to go out in it several times during the day.
On the way home from a long meeting, I took the expressway. Big mistake! The rain, along with the thrown up spray made visibility terrible. I almost got into two accidents!
Back at home, into dry clothes, I started to slowly warm up my chili. About 7:00 PM, it was warm enough to taste. I added another tablespoon of chili powder, several splashes of Frank’s Red Hot sauce and another teaspoon of cumin.
I let that get happy and then dished out a bowl for my supper. Hmmm… not bad, but the lima beans and/or peas gave it a slightly weird taste.
I ate my supper and then watched some TV. I went to bed at 10:00 PM and it was still raining. The low areas in the back yard were flooded.
