Some years more than others. Last year I had thousands and this year only a few (I think it was the stress of the drought).
They are kind of a pain. They litter the driveway and I run them over. And I hit them with the lawnmower.
Before my shoulder operation, I used to go out every day and chuck them into the field next door.
Also, the squirrels grab them and bury them in my gardens and lawn.
I remeber that black walnut on the farm, too. I remember staining my hands getting them and then smashing them with a hammer and picking out the meats for Mom.
Do you get any nuts from this tree? I still remember the Black Walnut on the farm!
