I have Friday off which makes it good, no matter what the religious connotations.
I woke up early (hey, who’s surprised?) at 4:00 AM with the sound of rain hitting my bedroom windows. That’s unusual as my bedroom windows face east and north and heavy rain normally comes in from the west.
But, I was still tired and didn’t want to get up, so I read a book until I finished it (about 10:00 AM). I got up and did the Blog thing.
I shaved and showered, got dressed and headed out to do my Easter dinner shopping at Westborn. I picked up the rack of lamb I’d ordered and asked to be frenched and cut into chops. I got everything else except the wine I wanted.
So, I stopped at my favorite wine shop and they didn’t have it in stock! So, I went home, figuring the lamb chops, sour cream, yogurt and eggs were more important than wine. I’ll deal with that tomorrow.
I was starving! So on the way home I swung by a White Castle and ordered six original sliders (I had just heard a commercial for them on the radio and it rang a bell). Back in the day, that was the official drunk food. I was stupid though, and when she asked if I wanted ketchup and mustard, I said yes.
No, I didn’t! It tasted all wrong! But I ate them all (they are little and, at 67 cents each, cheap) in the mile and a half trip back to the house.
At home and after treating the cats, I got busy. I swept the bedroom and then washed the wood floor with the Swifter Jet. I’ll mop it with End-Dust to give it a shine in the morning.
I did a whole lot of this and that and then decided I was really tired (I’d been awake since 4:00 AM) so I laid down to rest and read my book.
I fell asleep and that was Friday!
