I'm not saying that in the long run, the ornamental grass doesn't suck up a lot of water. I'm only saying that by planting it right in the ditch, he blocked off the normal flow of water from me to the storm drain (about 6 houses down). It also blocks my view of the north side of the street when I'm back out in mid-summer.
I never had this problem when I moved in here and his house was just a vacant lot.
Besides, because he didn't plant it near the house in a nice garden (he hasn't any) or even just "near" the road, all it does is make it look like he's too lazy to weedwack (yea, I said it this time) his ditch. Dumb on so many counts...
Really nice decorative grass! Love it.
ReplyDeleteOn a serious note, that grass should be pulling a lot of that water...it's not a detriment, it's good.
