Tuesday

I was awakened by thunder and the sound of rain hitting my bedroom windows on Tuesday. It had stopped by the time I left for work, but I still needed the wipers for the spray from those damn SUVs and pickups. I’m glad I took the garbage out Monday night.

It was cloudy, but not raining when I went home for lunch.

On the way home after work, it was still overcast, but warm (67 degrees F.) I changed clothes and watched the evening news. Then I went out and uncovered the reflecting pool. For the first time ever, it was filled with brackish water.

I tried to use my hand pump to drain it, but the dumb thing didn’t work. So, I dumped in a cup of bleach to try and clean it.

Then I put out the rest of the statues, the rain gauge and the bird bath.

Back inside, I ironed two shirts for work, Then I warmed up a bowl of the shrimp scampi with liguine for dinner. I watched TV until 10:30 PM and then went to bed.
