I would have typed: “Weather – Ditto” for Thursday but this damn Michigan weather tricked me (yet again!) Oh it was raining and miserable, but it finally started to warm up.
I ate lunch at the Rainbow (the Chinese restaurant just down the road from work). It’s college night again, you see, and I won’t eat dinner until late. I had the almond chicken, but again the portions were way too big.
This time I was able to stay at work until 5:15 PM and then I left for school. Traffic was terrible, but I still got there 15 minutes too early. So, I sat and reviewed last week’s chapter.
Finally, my classmates started trickling in. First came the student who was from Brazil (his company, a bank, is paying him to take this course and get the PMP cert). We exchanged greeting and then he said, (in very bad English), “I don’t understand your state. In my country, its cold in winter and warm in summer. Here, its cold one day and then hot the next!” I agreed with him and told him not to try and figure it out. Nobody living here ever has...
Class started and the first thing the instructor asked was, “Did anyone have any questions about the questions?” We all went, “Huh?” Turns out, since we ran late last week, he forgot to tell us there are review questions (two sections – one easy test questions to see if you got the terms right and the other, tougher questions for past PMP tests) in the back of our books. He posts the answers in a couple of days on his website. Well, since he didn’t tell us, nobody had done the tests. But, we will from now on.
Class ran late again, so at 10:15 PM, I finally got home. I warmed up the roast beef and au jus and ate two more French Dip Sandwiches. I tried to watch some TV, but was so beat, I went to bed at 11:00.
Oh,yeah! Brazil is right! That's Michigan!!
