I slept lousy Tuesday night. I went to sleep at 11:00 PM and woke up at 12:30 AM, wide awake. I laid there in the dark trying to fall back asleep (how boring). I figured watching TV or reading would just make it worse. I finally dozed off around 4:30 AM and then (reluctantly) woke up to the alarm at 5:30.
So, it was a long, tired day at work. What made it even worse is the woman who shares my cubicle didn’t get much sleep, either, and kept saying she really needed a nap and yawning.
I went home at lunch and tied up the tomato plants to the top rung of the trellis. Well, five of the six, anyway. The sixth never grew past the first rung, although it has a nice looking tomato on it that is just now turning red.
It was sprinkling when I got home from work, with occasional thunderstorms forecast. But I watered the raised bed garden anyway (occasionally, the occasional thunderstorms never show up here).
I had a sandwich for dinner and then heard the rumble of thunder after 8:00 PM. The wind was from the West, so I opened my North-side bedroom window (I like to listen to thunder).
I went to bed at 10:30 PM and only woke up twice during the night, falling back to sleep with ease.
