It was wicked hot in southeast Michigan on Friday. If you were outside, it felt like you couldn’t breathe. The temperature reached 97 degrees, but the heat index (temp + humidity) was over 103 degrees!
Jake asked me to stop by Office Depot on my way home at lunch and pick up a toner cartridge some building needed, so I grabbed my corporate credit card (I keep it locked in a drawer) and got what he wanted. Since I was there at Middlebelt and Plymouth road, I decided to treat myself for lunch. I haven’t been there since B___ and I used to go to lunch together, but I went to Red Lobster.
I ordered my favorite, the lunch portion of shrimp linguine Alfredo. I also ordered the Caesar salad (I swear they have the best Caesar dressing I ever tasted).
It was excellent! I wolfed it all down and used the fourth of my five cheddar biscuits to sop up the butter and Alfredo sauce from my plate.
Back at home after work, I started the weekend wash with my bedding and then my work pants. I was gonna cut the back yard, but it was just too damn hot outside.
My daughter Melissa called around 7:30 PM and we talked until 9:30 PM (that woman does go on and on – but it’s okay, I had nothing better to do.)
I put the bed back together and then went to sleep.
