Friday was a l-o-n-g day. Almost no one was there, so that left the IT department with nothing to do. Michelle (the keeper of the cards) presented me with a birthday card signed by my co-workers and an apple pie from a bakery! She asked me a week or so ago what my “favorite” dessert was. I said I wasn’t really into desserts, but I guess it would be apple pie.
Our boss bought pizza for those of us who were there and, for a change, I put off my lunch-time errands and stayed to eat (you have to pretend to be social every now and then).
I tried an experiment and went the whole day at work without using the heating pad. The added discomfort was not worth it.
We divvied up the rest of the pizza so I had two pieces for my dinner.
I watched an old movie and then went to bed (with the heating pad).
So...did you put a candle in the PIE?
