Monday morning came and it was still raining. Does this stuff ever quit?
I stooped at CVS at lunch and picked up my prescription and two more boxes of Epsom salts.
About 3:00 PM, it started to snow. Now, the forecast said 4:00 PM and a “wintry mix”. But, these were big fat flakes that quickly covered the cars and grassy area.
Fortunately, this had melted by 5:00 PM and I drove home through that wintry mix stuff.
Lu called and we talked for a while. I told her my tale of back pain and she explained just how hard it was to try and get back into the day-to-day routine after the death of her sister and the lingering questions she (and Gerry, she says) have about the cause of death.
After we hung up, I prepared another Epsom salt soak. I managed, by carefully adjusting the hot water, to stay in for over an hour. At one point, I was so relaxed I started to doze off. Unfortunately, that meant I let go of my paperback, and the splash as it hit the water woke me up.
I got out o the tub, set the book up to dry and took my rinse-off shower. I warmed up the rest of the cauliflower and ate that for dinner, watching a taped show. When it ended, I looked outside and found that it had snowed and the snow hung on every branch outside. It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
It was around 10:00 PM at that point and I wanted to watch another show, but realized how badly I needed sleep. So, I went to bed instead.
You will note I did not discuss my back problems in this post. It’s a simple reason: I’m sick of it.
re: "I stooped at CVS" I know it hurts, but quit "stooping"
ReplyDeleteWell, when I was younger, many people told me "I can't believe you'd stoop that low!"
ReplyDeleteI took that as a personal challenge.
