On the mend (I hope)

I woke up on Wednesday to below freezing temps and the results of some overnight snow (it wasn’t snowing at the time). We probably had less than an inch of snow here, although folks at work who live north and west of hear said they got up to six inches!

I got smart. I realized the only time I wasn’t really hurting was when I was applying heat. So, I took my heating pad to work! Yes, I looked stupid and yes, people kept asking questions, but it really helped!

I don’t think this damn cold is helping either. It did turn sunny, but never got above 37 degrees.

Back home after work, I did my usual: Undressed, got into bed with the heating pad and more or less stayed there. I did get up around 8:30 PM and made a can of bean with bacon soup. I could only eat half of it, though. So, I put the leftovers in the fridge and went back to bed.

Instead of my usual dozing, I stayed awake until after 10:00 PM, watching a good hockey game. Then I shut everything down and went to sleep. I never slept more than two hours at a time without waking up (either to pee or because I rolled over or something). But I did sleep in until I was woken up by the alarm clock.
