It’s a hard rain gonna fall...

It was gray and overcast when I set out for work on Tuesday morning and the forecast was for rain. I woke up almost 45 minutes later than I have since going back to work, but without having to make my injections, wrap my PICC line site before showering, then unwrap it, etc., I still got to work before 8:00 AM.

But, I forgot to make or take a lunch. So, I went to the Newburgh Grill again (in the rain) and got another bowl of the bean with ham soup (it’s only made on Tuesday, so I may have subconsciously forgotten my lunch on purpose).

Then I went to Best Buy to check out their external hard drives they had on sale (the same one my brother Carl bought, but $30.00 cheaper!). They were all sold out, of course (they always are) but I did pick up a wireless mouse. I’ve used one at work for quite a while now and once you get used to them, the old-style mouse like I have at home really sucks).

The sun came out briefly in the afternoon. I scanned in a card I thought was cute that I’d gotten in the mail from a local church and emailed it home.

Once home, I hooked up the new mouse and disconnected the old. It took a while to find and download the correct file from Microsoft I needed to use all the features. Then I tried to change that PDF file I had sent home into a photo so I could crop it and post it. I finally had to text Jake and ask for advice. He just said to send it to him. About two minutes later, he sent it back, cropped and as a JPEG file I could post. I really was going to do it myself, but thanks!

I was tired (try crawling under a desk to unhook a mouse with a back brace on and holding a flashlight), so I just heated up a Marie Callender’s chicken pot pie to eat with my evening pills. I called Kim, like I said I would, and left a message regarding the outcome of my doctor visit and wished her a fond farewell.

Then I watched an old movie (1948, but in Technicolor) called Scott and the South Pole, relating his tragic expedition. When it ended around 10:00 PM, I switched to reading until bedtime again.
