Random Thought or Another Project?

I happened to be watching a DIY trade show where they were showing off new products a week or two ago on TV. One of the things I saw, I thought was brilliant! An imitation evergreen bush that went around your air conditioner.

Now, at a house like Jake and Carla’s, where the air conditioner is off on the side of the house and not really visible when you are in your back yard, who cares? However, my A/C unit is right on my patio. I didn’t get the name of the company that made it, but I did get an idea.

Remember last Christmas when I gave Vicky at work my 4 1/2 foot fake Christmas tree and I said I found, like, two other old ones up in the attic as well? Well, if I could come up with a stiff metal fence material I could make into a circle (like my Dad did back on the farm as a compost heap for my Mom), why couldn’t I wire in the branches from the fake Christmas trees and set it over the air conditioner?

The air would still flow through the branches, so that shouldn’t be a problem...
