I left for work a little early on Wednesday, so I could stop at the Looney Bakery and get some donuts for this morning’s meeting.
At lunch, I went to Meijer’s to get a few non-grocery things I needed. When I left there, I swung by the Home Depot garden center. I wanted something to replaced the two dead plants in the porch rail planter and the dead Bleeding Hearts in the hanging planter on the front maple.
Alas, most of the annuals are gone now. So, I ended up buying two small mums for the porch and a mixed pot of flowers for the hanging basket. I took everything home, treated the cats and realized time had slipped away and I didn’t have time to eat. So, I grabbed and apple and headed back to work.
So, my lunch consisted of a couple of donuts and a cup of coffee when I first got back and the apple later in the afternoon.
After work, I put the flowers in their respective new homes. I must say, these will probably be killed off by the heat as well, but it does look nicer, now. I took some pictures of them for you, as well as my rearranged cupboard.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow, but I still carried three buckets of water out back for the peonies and day lily. Back inside, I started the mid-week laundry.
When I had the laundry dried and hung up or folded, I warmed up some of that eggplant parmesan casserole. I ate to my heat’s (or stomach’s, come to think of it) content and froze the rest. The casserole dish went into the sink to soak.
I watched TV until bedtime.
