It was noticeably hotter on Thursday. I went to Kroger at lunch to get some more bread, mayo and cat treats. I also got a half pound of their crab salad for my lunch and two boxes of on-sale cookies (oatmeal raisin and chocolate chips). I took those into work.
After work and at home, I started the riding lawn mower up for the first time in almost a year. I was pleasantly surprised that the battery and the old gas worked. I drove it outside, blew off all the old leaves and grass and put it back in the garage.
Then I used my floor jack to pick it up and took off the rear wheel. It has had a slow leak for years and I want to have a tube put in it at George's Lawnmower Service, down the street.
I put the tire (which, for being so big was surprisingly light) in the trunk.
Back in the house, I noticed that B___ had called, so I called him back and we chatted a bit.
I put as many of the dishes that would fit from the cupboard adjacent to the one the mouse was in into the dishwasher and started it. I’m not sure I want to eat or drink off of anything that he might have walked on.
I was just about to start washing out the cupboard, when Melissa called. We talked for a long time and when we finally hung up, I warmed up a bratwurst for my dinner and ate that along with some corn chips.
I went to bed early as my back still hurt and the pain pills and anti-inflammatory drugs I took made me sleepy.
