Finally Friday

I slept lousy Thursday night and so overslept almost an hour through the alarm (was it reading late or the Roka Blue and crackers? I dunno). But anyway, I had to hurry though the morning rituals but I still got to work five minutes early.

But, I felt it all day long and had to keep getting up and walking around to stay awake.

The weatherman had got it right for a right for a change and it was raining when I left for work. They had said it would stop by noon and they were right again! It was sunny when I went home and ate a cucumber sandwich (I need to use these gifts up).

I checked the gauge and we got a 1/2 of rain overnight. That made my watering Thursday night unnecessary but at least everything got watered…

The afternoon was long and sadly, unbroken by me chatting with Cindy (our administrative secretary who was fired yesterday) who I used to joke with about it being Friday and payday.

But, I eventually made it through and headed home. I gotta tell you that turbo kicking in right is sweet! I suppose I will get a ticket sooner or later, but right now, I’m digging it!

In spite of the turbo, due to traffic I didn’t get home until 5:20 PM. So, I missed a call from Jeremy. However, I have a strict rule about that. You call and leave me a message, I call you back. You don’t leave a message, you’re out of luck. He didn’t leave a message.

I got the vacuum cleaner out and downstairs. I have three things to do this weekend. One is to clean out the closet and furnace room downstairs, another is to empty out the attic of all those empty boxes, excess chairs, etc., and the third is to get all the scraps of wood, tile and cement backer board assembled in the garage. I bought another of those Angie’s List items: a third truckload of garbage pickup for $79.00 US. This was BEFORE the car puked out, BTW, but they are coming on Monday.

However, the phone rang and I talked with Jake a while. After we hung up, I was already tired and decided the projects could wait. So, I made myself another sandwich and ate that, along with some corn chips and salsa.

Instead of watching TV, I read my book until I fell asleep and Friday was done.
