Good Thursday

The weather never lived up to Thursday morning’s forecast. It sure didn’t feel like it got up to 70 degrees (but it might have just been the chilly wind and me with no jacket).

I had therapy again today at 11:45 AM. Instead of a drive through on the way back, I stopped at Westborn Market and got a big container of excellent chicken noodle soup. I actually think that was quicker!

When I got home, I changed my shoes, put on a jacket and watered the container gardens. Then I set up the oscillating sprinkler to water the garden in the back of the house.

I went back into the house and turned on the bedroom light to check out the news. That’s when I saw a cat had barfed on the bed. And, not just on the bed, but also part of the sheet and one pillowcase (I KNEW I should have made the bed before I left for work this morning!)

So, I stripped the bed, treated the stains and put all the bedding in the washer. I also changed the timer for the sprinkler from one hour to two, to allow for the lower water pressure when the washer fills for washing and rinsing, etc. Then I went and watched the news after making a cup of coffee to warm up.

I talked with both Jake (he wanted to know more about my new dentist and tell me his own dentist story) and B___ (he’s just about finished getting his boat ready to be pulled and also wanted to know if I was going hunting this year – he’s not, he was just curious).

I shut off the water and reeled in the hose under the glare of the security lights (it had gotten dark by then. I got the bedding from the dryer and remade the bed.

When I got hungry, I reheated another container of chili I made and froze last winter, and thawed overnight. I ate it with corn chips and this time some medium salsa. When! Then my stomach hurt in two ways: the muscles from PT and the insides from the spicy food.

I watched a couple of taped shows, but went to bed early.
