Fran and I have been going back on Facebook about the latest terrorist acts. But, since we are talking about religion, it brought back a memory I'll never forget. It was like first or second grade in Catholic School and the nun (I don't remember her name anymore) was saying that only baptisted Catholics would get into Heaven. Everyone else was doomed to hell.
My old friend, Danny, (who's was killed in Texas with his son in a train/car wreck probably 30 years ago) spoke up and said his dad was good man and a practicing Lutheran who went to church every Sunday and had married his sweetheart, Danny's mom who was a Catholic. So, won't he go to heaven, too?
The nun said, "No, I'm sorry to tell you this, but he will go to hell."
Even as young as I was, I couldn't believe anybody (no matter what religion) would say that to a little kid!
That just sucks, man!
