A souper day!

It wasn’t as cold when I left for work on Tuesday morning, but I still needed a jacket. I put the last garbage bag in the can and drove off.

I walked over to Building 7 and up the stairs to give Michelle her container back, filled with my mushroom and barley soup. She asked if I liked the potato soup and I said, “Well, it certainly was spicy and definitely not like any other potato soup I ever had, but it really was good!” (and it was). She was busy, so I didn’t get a chance to get the recipe, but if I do, I’ll share it with you.

I had yet another, different physical therapist at PT today. He had me mostly doing stretching exercises on my legs (he said that would help with my core muscles, too). So, this time, my stomach didn’t hurt at all, just the back of my legs did. Either all the muscles in your body have something to do with your core muscles or these people are just making this up as they go!

The chatty guy at least had me do the same exercises over and over, just increasing the reps (that made some sense) and the woman with her back massage was nice (and my back did feel better the next day), but this guy just seemed weird. Oh well, I only have one more session to go.

I stopped at Westborn and got some bean and ham soup for my lunch (I remembered Monday morning to take in some saltine crackers). It was sweet: the checkout girl (who I absolutely do not remember and I go there enough to know most of them) said to me, “Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you used to be a storm trooper?” I laughed and said, “Yes, that was me!” (When I was wearing the brace, I would often tell people I was a storm trooper from Star Wars.) She said, “You certainly look like you’re doing better!” I said, “Thanks, I am getting there.” I left smiling at having an odd, cosmic moment.

I also got a nice surprise when I got home. They did come and cut my lawn today, so all the leaves I blew off the driveway (and there was piles of them) were gone! But, in just that short span of time, others had fallen to take there place. See photos.

Inside, I watched the evening news with a couple of cups of coffee. When it ended, I heated up some mushroom barley soup for my dinner.

I watched a little taped TV and then another episode of Breaking Bad. After that, I went to bed.
