Thursday

It had rained overnight, with more scheduled to show up around noon, so I wore my rain jacket today to work. Unfortunately, it was already raining when I took my morning walk, but I walked anyway because my back was starting to hurt.

At lunch, I did get to Home Depot and picked up more grass seed. I also went to the gas station to fill the tank. I’m not sure why (are we ever?) but the price has been going steadily down the past few weeks.

Then I went home, dropped off the grass seed and ate more sausage and sauerkraut for lunch. I drove back to work in the rain (I wish now I’d had and put down that grass seed yesterday).

Naturally, the sun came out in the early afternoon, which made the afternoon walk a lot less damp. But it was still breezy and not all that warm.

When I went home after work, I treated the cats and changed my shoes. Then I went out back and spread the seed on all the bare spots in the yard.

I had to laugh. I spent the time and money to fill up that new squirrel with peanuts yesterday and it was completely empty today!

Back inside, I changed clothes and started a load of laundry. Then I started the final straightening and cleaning of the house (I have weekend houseguests coming).

I ate more of the sausage and sauerkraut for dinner (I am getting sick of that stuff). I folded and hung up the laundry and then spent the next too few hours left of the evening chilling in front of the TV before bedtime.
