It completely slipped my mind...

(I am getting old, you know), but Halloween was the anniversary of Harry Houdini's death in 1926. Now, I know most of you weren't even a gleam in your grandpa's eye at that time (in my case, it would have been my father's eye), but I always admired him and there is a local connection: He was performing in the Garrick Theater in Detroit (now called the Majestic)and died in Detroit's Grace Hospital (now Sinai-Grace).

And I try to remember that every Halloween!
