It was cold again when I woke up on Tuesday (24 degrees). The clouds had gone, leaving the last of the warmer air to rise and disappear. But, it did give me a spectacular view of the full moon out my bathroom window.
Speaking of being cold, I am trying to figure out why (and what the hell I am going to do when it really gets cold in Michigan – typically January and February). I don’t know if it was from losing all that weight last year, being ill or having my surgery, but for some reason I am always chilled.
The sun was out, so it did help in my morning walk, although this was supposed to be the coldest day for the next seven.
I went home at lunchtime and, for a change, didn’t stop at Home Depot! No, I went straight home, fixed myself a thick turkey sandwich, paired it with a pickle and ate lunch watching a taped DIY show.
Back at work, the afternoon was extremely frustrating. I don’t want to go into it and I’m sure it will pass (maybe). I did take the time to write out the paragraph of my mother’s influence that my grandson, Carl V, requested for a school project. It was hard! Just try and encompass all that your mother influenced you into one paragraph. I could write a book. But I did what I could.
Finally, it was 5:00 PM! When I got home, I treated the cats and changed clothes. I worked on the computer, paying some bills, transferring funds and updating my Christmas Card list. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t get the cards ready over the Thanksgiving holiday. But now that the car is okay and the new vanity working, I have to get this stuff caught up!
I realized that I was two voicemails behind talking with my daughter Melissa, so I called her up. I had waited for a while to let her get dinner out of the way. We chatted for a while and caught each other up.
Then I fixed my dinner by warming up a plate of meatballs and spaghetti. It was still excellent!
I watched taped DIY shows (all the new episodes of shows I like are played on Monday night for some odd reason) until bedtime.
Can you share the paragraph with us? Oh, and somebody stole the title to this post. Probably the same people who stole your hammock.
