As I said yesterday, I took the garbage out to the road Monday night. So, as per usual, I took out a small bag to put in the can (one of the ones you get from shopping at Kroger’s) with the last night’s trash and this morning cat offerings.
As I walked out to the garbage can, I saw the truck go by towards the dead end of the road (they do one side and then the other). I also saw a neighbor from across the street pulling two garbage cans towards me. She was in her pajamas! She asked if I minded if she set her cans by mine as she forgot to take them out last night. I said, “Sure, why not?”
I was still laughing to myself when I got on the expressway.
It was still warm outside, but supposed to rain and get colder throughout the day. And, it did both.
I drove home at noon in the rain and, for a change, didn’t stop anywhere. I warmed up two brats and ate them for lunch. On the way back to work, I did stop and fill up my gas tank.
When I got home, I took in my can (my neighbor’s were still out there, though). I hope she doesn’t forget to take them back!
A cat had barfed on the bed, so I washed the bedspread and two days worth of work clothes. I emptied the dishwasher while I was at it.
I watched the evening news and the made supper. I warmed up the stuffed pork loin, a baked potato and a butternut squash. It all was still pretty good.
After dealing with the clothes and putting the bedspread back on the bed, I took the rest of the night off. I watched TV until bedtime at 10:30 PM.
Dad,
ReplyDeleteSo you got to see your neighbors cans! Not too bad! Have a happy Wednesday
LMAO! I didn't realize how that would sound when I wrote it!
ReplyDeleteYour the only brother I have that chases his neighbor's cans...and then Keeps them too!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - you still have it at your age!
This commentary section is FAR too racy. Jesus, aren't there parental controls for this kind of thing?!
