It was cold and windy again, but at least it wasn’t snowing (see, that’s a Michigan trick: if it’s cold, you say, “At least it’s not snowing!” or if it’s snowing, you say, “At least it’s not freezing rain!” – you get the idea).
I stopped at Home Depot at lunchtime to pick up supplies for this weekend’s mini-project: Updating one of the outdoor light fixtures and installing another new one. Then I went home and warmed up some of that beef vegetable soup I made. It helped ward off the chill.
Both the morning and afternoon walks were challenging. [Note to self: Dig out your winter coat! This fall jacket ain’t cutting it anymore!]
When I got home, I made a cup of coffee and watched the news shows until 7:00 PM. Then I warmed up the ingredients to make two more fajitas (this time washing my hands after touching the spicy fillings!) and added the toppings. They were still quite good and quite filling!
I cleaned up the little mess I had made and decided to sit on the couch for a change. So I turned on the fireplace, put my feet up, covered up with a light blanket and read a magazine until I finished it. It was quite nice and a pleasant change from watching TV.
But, when I finished it [Note to self: Go to the library and get some new books!], I went back in and watched a little TV. Then I turned in early again.
Hmm wonder who you take after.
ReplyDeleteSnuggled on the couch, fire in the fireplace and a warm blanket reading books...
