It was still cold and the wind
still was blowing, but the sun was out and it made all the difference on Friday
morning.
At lunch, I went to Office
Depot and got my refill for this year’s Franklin Planner. I sometimes feel I am
the only one left who uses it (sort of like the last Blackberry user, lol).
Then I went home and opened a
can of Hormel’s chili and heated it up. I needed that! I intend to make a big
pot of beef stew and dumplings over the weekend. It’s just too damn cold!
I bundled up for the ride back
to work and stopped to fill up my gas tank. I don’t like to let it get too low
when it’s really cold outside, knowing there is always water inside the tank
and fearing it might freeze.
On the other hand, I’ve always
wondered that, if you ran out of gas; could you add some water, (just a
little), either a bottled water or, say, (just thinking out loud) some piss to
your tank? I would think the pick up tube is above the bottom of the tank (to
avoid dirt and contamination) and, since gas floats on water, could that save
you? I’m just asking…
Back home after work, (without
having to piss in my gas tank – thank God) I treated the cats and, before I
changed clothes, headed out with my boots on to refill the squirrel feeder.
I did some work on the computer
and watched the news. Then I ate the last of the chicken and pasta leftovers
for supper. I watched some TV but went to bed early again.
