Good Day, Sunshine...
Finally!
It finally got above freezing on Monday. And the abundant sun was just a bonus!
Both my morning and afternoon walks were outside and were invigorating. I didn’t have to fight the natural urge to “hunch” against the cold.
I went to Meijer’s at lunch for a quick in-and-out (practically a drive-by). I bought a can of chicken broth and a meat mallet. Then I went home and warmed up some of that shrimp scampi for lunch. Even without the garlic bread, I felt like I reeked of garlic (but it tasted so good!)
When I got home after work, I took the garbage can out to the road before going in the house and treating the cats. They were annoyed.
Then I emptied the kitty litter box, replaced the litter with fresh clay and put all the excess boxes (from the birdhouses, the new toothbrush, etc.) in the garbage bag as well. I took that out to the road, but not before the cardboard had punched several holes in it. I just hope it holds together long enough to get thrown away!
I warmed up the last of the stuffed shells and another chunk of garlic bread for my dinner.
I watched the first episode of the new series “Viking” on the History channel that I had taped Sunday night. It was pretty good.
I went to bed at 10:30..
