Wednesday was sunny and a bit warmer, but still windy.
The sun was right in my rear view mirrors as I drove into work, making lane
changes difficult.
I didn’t feel like driving home at lunch, so I had my
last Lenten Fish dinner at Time Out. Then I went to that antique shop I
recently found and wandered around a while. I ended up buying an old, supposedly broken camera for $15.00. More to come on that...
When I got home after work, I noticed a big thin box
between the front door and the storm door. Ah, I thought, my plant stand has
arrived.
So, after treating the cats and changing clothes, I
retrieved it and began to put it together. It was fairly simple as the legs
folded flat for storage. So, it was just screwing on the three metal shelf
brackets and installing the glass shelves. It’s metal and made to look like
branches with a bird sitting on top.
The only downside was the packaging material. It was
big sheets of that thin Styrofoam that breaks so easily into little pellets and
then clings to everything (the couch, the rug, the floors, my pants). I ended
up using the vacuum cleaner to get rid of it and there’s probably some still
clinging to something, somewhere.
I set a few thing on it for the photos, but will
eventually put in some house plants. I think it looks great!
I ate the rest of the chicken fried rice for dinner.
Then I turned the pound of ground chuck I had thawed into what my Mother would
have called spaghetti sauce. My leftover spaghetti and meatballs was now
without meatballs, so when It cooled, I added the sauce to the spaghetti to
jazz it up a bit.
I watched the latest Viking episode that I taped last
Sunday and then I went to bed at 11:00
PM. I decided to skip watching the news.
