It was already 32 degrees F. when I woke up, so I switched
from that heavy leather jacket to my lighter cloth one. It was, literally, a weight
off my shoulders! I left the gloves, hat and scarf home, too.
I stopped at Meijer’s for just one thing: new shaving heads for
my electric razor. Of course, they had some for all of the six possible models
except mine. That rack was empty. Hmmm… I wonder when they restock?
I went home for the rest of my lunch hour, not only for some
soup but to check on the cats. There has been a sharp increase in fighting and
its been very serious for two days now. In fact, I had to separate them
physically and shut Scruffy in the living room for a while until tempers cooled
Wednesday night. Normally, if I just yell at them to “Knock it off!” they do,
but not now.
They were both still alive, but Caley did hiss and growl
when Scruffy walked near her.
One the way back to work, I filled up my gas tank. Prices
seemed to have gone just a bit since the last time.
I watched the evening news until 7:00 PM, Then I warmed up a stuffed chicken breast for my
dinner. I only have enough mushrooms left for one dinner (should have made
more!) so I got out some frozen hash
browns from the freezer. I warmed some up in the small 8-inch frying pan,
adding in some dried, minced onions. When they started to get a crust on them,
I seasoned them with salt and pepper and had a nice side dish without a whole
lot of trouble.
I watched taped shows until about 9:30 PM and then went to bed. I have been sleeping badly
all this week, waking up several times during the night and then having trouble
falling back to sleep, etc. I’m pretty sure its just my back as its been hurting me
for several days now.
