I was hoping Friday might be a repeat of Thursday,
weather-wise. It was close, but no cigar. A cold front had shifted the wind
from the West to the North, and you could tell the difference on my morning
walk.
I made the mistake of agreeing to go with Michelle and
Vicky to Buddy’s for lunch. But, I told them I would drive myself as I wanted to drop into the antiques store afterward. That was stupid.
I forgot just how long it takes to eat at Buddy’s, especially when three of the
techs showed up as well, and we had to then wait for a table, (we were in a
booth), etc. I was almost 10 minutes late getting back without stopping
anywhere and after practically tackling the waitress to get my bill!
I had a plan for Friday night that did NOT include
dealing with a hairball on the bedspread. Damn! So, I changed clothes and then
washed the bedspread and the remaining dirty clothes in the basket. Once that
started, I went out and finished the fine sanding on the front and back of the
clock.
I blew it off and then used the house vacuum with the
brush attachment to make sure all the sawdust was cleaned off.
Since I had the vacuum out, I started in the garage
(with the walk-off mat) and went through the whole house trying to find any
stray dirt or sawdust. I stopped somewhere in the middle of the vacuuming to
put the clothes in the dryer.
For dinner, I warmed up two of those smoked sausages.
I must say I’m not that impressed with them. They’re okay, but are more like a
funny-tasting hot dog than a “smoked sausage.” So, I warmed up a brat and ate
that to make myself feel better.
I hung up the clothes and put the bedspread back on
the bed. I finally watched the NCIS episode I taped on Monday or Tuesday. Then
I went to sleep.
