Why can't I get this kind of weather on the weekend?

Monday morning dawned sunny and clear.  The outside temperatures climbed all day long.

I took the measuring wheel back to Michelle and thanked her during my morning walk.

I went to Home Depot at lunch for a 7/16-inch drill bit. Next I went to Michael’s for another frame for the living room wall and a French curve for the next woodworking project. Then I went home and ate a Brat on a bun with Dijon mustard for lunch.

When I got back to work, I opened the sunroof a crack to let the afternoon heat build up escape. Inside, I used the rest of my lunch hour to call around for some prices on mulch.

Once I was home after work, I changed clothes and went out back. I picked up all the trash in the yard, which netted me  1 1/2 garbage bags packed with junk. I’ll take it out to the road, along with the trash can in the morning.

Unfortunately, while it was warm, it was a bit too breezy to be burning the scrap wood...

Inside, I fixed the last two grilled smoked sausages and ate them with deli mustard for dinner.

The news was already over, so I watched some taped TV until the Red Wings game came on. We finally won one I was watching! I was so happy I went to bed…

    1. Did you go with the nail stick or the grabber?
    2. Ever hear back from the township?

  2. Dad.
In my magazine it says if you like mystery's and are a "foodie" you should read the series by Avery Aames The Cheese Shop Mystery series. Thought that might interest you. We still have snow and are expecting a little more tonight but on 70 it is supposed to hit 70 I'm not holding my breath and the pool is scheduled to be opened May 22, hope the snow is gone by then!

  4. @ Jake: Yes, this time I used the grabber, rather than the nail on a stick. It worked much better, but I did have to bend a bit more and my back felt like it today.

No, the Township never responded. The last time they called the absentee landowner and he did increase the amount of time the sweeper does the parking lot, but they missed the whole point. The trash builds up in the corner of the wall and the building, and the sweeper can't get in there as that's where the truckers park to sleep.

@ Amy: Thanks! next time I go to the library, I'll check out "The Cheese Shop Mysteries"

I figured out what you meant about it reaching 70. I hope you make it. It would tick me off to have a pool with all the expenses and not be able to use it!
