Friday was a little cooler, but still a beautiful day.
I had a companion for my morning walk. Vicky said she needed
a break and asked if she could come. It’s not usually all that much fun walking
back and forth six times on a narrow parking lot between two cement block
buildings, but having somebody to chat with was interesting.
I went home for lunch. I was out of leftovers, so I stopped
at Taco Bell and grabbed some food. All the talk of Cinco De Mayo was making
hungry for Mexican food, even if it was imitation Mexican food.
I got home after work, treated cats, opened windows and
changed clothes. I walked out back to plan the weekend work. I moved the three
4x4’s I had pulled out of the front garden off the lawn so they wouldn’t kill the
grass and put them on the patio. I need all the lawn I can save!
Then I took the evening off. I worked on the computer,
talked briefly with Jake and longer with B___.
I had stuck a frozen container of chili in the fridge a few
days before to thaw. So, I warmed up a bowl of chili and topped that with some
shredded sharp cheddar. I ate a late dinner while watching TV. When I started
nodding off, I shut everything down, closed all the windows except the one in
the bedroom and went to bed.
