Friday, we seemed to have turned the corner back to Summer
again here in Southeast Michigan. It was just about perfect and the weekend is supposed to be even better!
I went to Harbor Freight at lunchtime and bought a
motorcycle lift and some mechanic’s gloves they had on sale. I also bought a caliper.
I had one before when I worked in the factory, but “somebody” threw them away
when we moved from St. Clair.
The lift was really heavy, BTW, and it was all I could do to
get it in the basket and then into my car!
Since I was down that way and had the time, I stopped at Ten
Yen and had my usual for lunch. I love their jasmine tea!
Vicky, her mother Evy and Yanessa stopped by work in the afternoon.
It was the first time I met Evy and she looked exactly how I had pictured her!
I got home after work and got the motorcycle lift out of the
trunk (Thank God). I opened it up and found there was some assembly required.
Why was I not surprised? And, why does everything you buy there have that weird
“rubber” smell to it?
I did a load of laundry and a lot of computer stuff (it was
payday, so I had money to move about, bills to pay online and my check register
to balance). I also filled out the ToDo list for the weekend (looks like a busy
one).
I didn’t have anything planned for dinner, so I made a Marie
Callender’s entrĂ©e (Chicken and broccoli over noodles) in the microwave.
By then it was late, so I just watched a taped TV show after
reading the lift assembly instructions. Then I went to bed.
RE: "Why does everything you buy there have that weird “rubber” smell to it?" If you spent a year on a rubber raft floating over from China, you would have a rubber smell too!!
