It was still 68 degrees F. here Thursday morning, but it
only got into the mid 70’s, which was a pleasant change.
I went home at lunchtime. I went to Meijer’s on a “cat run”
(some kitty litter, cat food and cat treats). I made and ate a BLT for lunch.
Back home after work, I changed clothes and went out into
the garage. The winds had picked up and the clouds were rolling in as another
cold front moved through.
I sanded all the dried drips on the rocker and then used a 1-inch
brush to repaint it. It made the job a lot longer, but gave me much more control.
About 6:30 p.m., a storm blew through. This time there were
sheets of rain. But, at one point, the sun came back out, even though it was
still pouring. I looked for the rainbow (I try to look for the rainbows in
life, ya know?) but didn’t see one through the windows. I didn’t care enough to
go outside and get wet looking, though.
I finished the painting at 7:45. I went in and warmed up
some green beans my friend Michelle from Facilities brought me this morning.
There were garlic chunks in with them as well as what I thought was bacon (a
good ole Southern dish). It was pork, all right, but not bacon. I’ll have to
ask her about that.
I watched a taped show and then went to bed around 10:00
p.m. Since I stopped drinking coffee after work, this seems to be my new
bedtime.
