Monday, Tuesday and New Year’s Day

I woke up at about 5:00 a.m. on Monday. I ate the last of the spinach dip and water crackers for breakfast and topped that with a cup of coffee. It seems to be very, very quiet around here, now.

I fully intended on driving for holiday visits but I had a bad thing happen. When I was taking a shower, the drain backed up and flooded the downstairs floor.

So, I stayed home for two days, eating snacks. I even made the Velveeta and Rotel dip for the left over corn chips. I did make the Brussels sprouts. I got the new dishwasher, but I didn’t install it yet. Until I get the drains working, I can’t use it.

Naturally, since today was the Brother’s Party, it started snowing last night and snowed all day here. It took me almost two hours to get there as nothing was plowed or salted (at least in Wayne County).

But, we had a good time and some great food. I left about 7:30 p.m. and the ride home was much worse. When I finally got here, I just changed clothes, treated the cats and then read until bedtime.
