It was so nice to wake up to “warm” on Thursday! Both my
back and knee hurt though. I think it was from the cold.
I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond at lunch, clutching my 20%
off coupons. My current 10-year old bedspread is rapidly approaching
end-of-life. So, I bought a new one, along with an oven thermometer (you can’t
read the old one) and a collapsible snow shovel for the car trunk.
The salt was finally working in the 18 degree temperature,
so the drive at lunch was mostly just wet and sloppy.
But, by the time I drove home after work, some of it had
re-froze. So, that drive was a little trickier.
They had picked up the trash (finally) so I took the
trashcan in. After the usual homecoming routine, I straightened up the back
room as much as I could (propane heater and tank out in the garage, etc.). Then
I started the Wednesday night wash (a day late).
I ate leftovers for dinner.
My Brother Jim called at 7:30 p.m. to ask if the furnace was
working and we chatted a bit. Next, I watched “This Old House” and “Sherlock”
on PBS and then went to bed.
