Friday morning there was just a dusting of snow on the
ground. But, it was just enough to put us over the top! January 2014 is now
officially the snowiest month ever in Michigan history (well, at least in the
last 106 years they have been keeping track). I don’t know if I should
celebrate or cry…
But, it was noticeably warmer! I brought along my hat and
gloves, rather than wearing them.
And, I just left them in the car at lunchtime. I went to
Time Out and got their fish and chips. Then I went to a nearby antique shop and
browsed until it was time to go back to work.
After work, I treated the cats and changed clothes. I took a
phone call from a friend and then got to work. Today was a pay day, so I worked
on my budget spreadsheet and my check register spreadsheet, then paid some
bills online.
I tried two experiments after that. I logged into Netflix on
the computer and even streamed a small part of a movie. It was working fine.
Next, I got onto my Wi-Fi with my smart phone and got a strong signal (so the
Wi-Fi router was working). Gotta be the Roku!
But, by that time I was hungry and the Red Wings hockey game
had just some on. So, I warmed up the last of the shrimp and grits and ate that
for dinner. For leftovers, it was pretty good!
I thought we had a lock on the hockey game, but seven
seconds before the final buzzer, the Capitals scored a tying goal! It took both
overtime and the shootout, but we finally won!
I celebrated by going to bed.
