Monday morning came way too early. But, I coped. It was just
damn cold, though, so it was back to a knit hat and leather gloves for the trip
into work.
I didn’t go to Home Depot first for that SharkBite gauge. It
dawned on me I couldn’t be the only one who didn’t buy a gauge, so I Googled it.
You need just shy of an inch stuffed into the Sharkbite elbow. So, now I know…
I went to the Food Land at Plymouth Road and Farmington at
lunch to get the few items I was out of. That included milk, but I had no fears
it would spoil in this heat (LOL). My only fear was that it would freeze and
burst during the afternoon.
Now, all of Lower Michigan was under a Winter Weather
Advisory that started at 4:00 p.m. We are supposed to get 4-5 inches of snow
overnight. I kept checking, but there was no snow here by the time I went home.
So, tonight’s commute was a no-brainer. Tomorrow morning may be another story…
Once home, I dragged the trashcan out to the road, carried
my two paper bags of groceries into the house, treated the cats and unpacked
the groceries. I changed clothes. I watched the news and found that we
were in a “hole” of the storm, but it was still coming.
Then I used the electric sweeper and did all the floors (something
I should have done on Sunday, but the Olympics were calling my name!) It was
close to 7:30 p.m. and still no snow! Maybe we lucked out?
Um, no… Next time I checked it was snowing like hell, albeit
with small flakes.
I warmed up a can of Hormel Chili for dinner. I watched the
Olympics until 10:00 p.m., set the DVD to record Jimmy Fallon’s debut on the
Tonight Show and went to bed.
